Is MadeThis Worth It? My Honest After-60-Days Review
Is MadeThis Worth It? My Honest After-60-Days Review
I signed up for MadeThis with appropriate skepticism. I'd tried a few platforms before, none of them perfect, and I wasn't in the mood for another "all-in-one solution" that delivered on half its promises.
After 60 days of actual daily use — products live, sales happening, support tickets opened — here's my honest verdict.

What I Actually Tested
I didn't just poke around the dashboard. I used MadeThis as my primary business platform for 60 days:
- Listed 4 digital products (an ebook, two templates, and a bundle)
- Ran actual sales through the checkout
- Used the AI features for product descriptions and store copy
- Dealt with one customer support request
- Managed analytics and tracked conversions
- Connected my custom domain
That's the full picture. Let me break down each area.
The Store Setup (9/10)
Setup was genuinely fast. I had my first product live in about 45 minutes, including writing the product description and uploading the file. The interface is clean — not cluttered with settings I'll never use.
One thing I appreciated: the product page looks professional out of the box. I've used platforms where the default product page looks like it was built in 2009. MadeThis doesn't have that problem.
My only minor frustration: I wanted to customize the layout more aggressively, and some of those options weren't available. Minor for most users, mattered to me because I'm picky about design.
The AI Features (8/10)
This is where MadeThis does something others don't. The built-in AI helps you write your product title, description, and store copy — not just generic filler, but stuff that actually sounds like a human wrote it.
I ran an experiment: I wrote one product description myself and used the AI to write another, then tracked conversions for 30 days. The AI-assisted description converted at 3.2%. The one I wrote converted at 2.1%.
I'll be honest — I didn't expect that. The AI version led with a stronger hook and hit the pain points more directly. I've since used it for all my product descriptions.
The Checkout and Delivery (10/10)
This is where it counts. Sales flowed through cleanly, customers got their download links immediately, and I didn't deal with a single delivery issue in 60 days.
Payment processing worked without any drama. That's the baseline expectation, but it's not something you can take for granted on every platform.
Customer Support (7/10)
I only had one reason to contact support — a customer couldn't download their file after purchase (turned out to be their browser settings, not a MadeThis issue). The response time was about 4 hours, which is reasonable. The answer was helpful.
I haven't stress-tested support enough to give it a higher rating. One ticket isn't enough data. But first impressions: good.
Analytics (7/10)
The built-in analytics give you the essentials: visits, sales, revenue, conversion rate by product. That's enough to make good decisions.
If you want deep funnel analytics or advanced attribution, you'll want to supplement with Google Analytics or similar. But for day-to-day business decisions, what's built in is sufficient.
What I'd Change
More pricing flexibility. I wanted to offer a "pay what you want" option on one product. That wasn't available during my review period.
Better bundle mechanics. I wanted to create a bundle of three products with a combined discount. The bundle feature works, but it's less flexible than I wanted.
More theme options. The store looks good, but I wanted more visual variety.
None of these are dealbreakers. They're the difference between 8/10 and 10/10.
The Verdict After 60 Days
I'm still using MadeThis. That's the clearest possible endorsement.
It does what it says: lets you sell digital products professionally, with AI tools that actually help, without the technical overhead of building everything yourself.
For someone who wants to build a real digital product business without spending their life on platform configuration, it's a very strong choice. The AI tools alone put it ahead of most alternatives I've tested.
Is it perfect? No. But the 80% it nails is the 80% that matters.
