Notion has quietly become one of the most profitable tool niches for digital product creators.
People use Notion for everything — project management, journaling, content planning, CRM, life organization — and most of them don't have the time or technical knowledge to build systems from scratch. That's where Notion creators come in.
If you know Notion well, you can build products around that knowledge. Here's how.

Why Notion Products Sell
The Notion market works because there's a constant influx of new users who want to get organized but don't want to start from scratch. And even experienced users want to find better systems for things they already do.
Notion templates, in particular, have a great value-to-effort ratio:
- For the buyer: They get a functional system they can use immediately
- For the seller: You build the template once and sell it indefinitely
The challenge is differentiation. The generic "Notion life planner" market is saturated. The opportunity is in specific, niche systems for specific people with specific problems.
What You Can Sell as a Notion Creator
1. Niche Templates
The most common Notion product — but the key is specificity.
Strong angles I've seen work:
- "Notion CRM for freelancers" — helps freelancers manage clients and follow-ups
- "Content creator operating system" — content calendar, analytics tracker, idea vault
- "Job search tracker" — organized system for managing applications and interviews
- "Digital product business dashboard" — product tracker, income tracker, marketing planner
Price range: $9–$49 for a single template. Up to $97 for a comprehensive system with multiple linked databases.
2. Template Bundles
Package your best templates together and sell them as a complete system. A bundle of 5–10 templates at $47–$97 is often an easier sell than the same templates individually — buyers feel like they're getting more.
3. Notion Setup Courses
There's a big gap between "I want to use Notion for my business" and "I know how to actually set up a Notion workspace that works." A course that bridges that gap can sell at $47–$147.
The key is to be outcome-specific: "Set up your freelance business in Notion in 2 hours" converts better than "learn Notion for business."
4. Done-For-You Notion Setup
Offer to build custom Notion workspaces for clients. This is active income, but it pays well.
A "done-for-you business Notion setup" can command $300–$1,000+ depending on complexity. You're not selling your time at hourly rates — you're selling the outcome of an organized system.
5. Notion Consulting Packages
Sell a consultation + setup session: review the client's current Notion setup (or help them start from scratch), then build or restructure it live on a Zoom call. $100–$300 per session.
How to Package and Price Notion Products
The biggest mistake Notion sellers make: underpricing because they think "it's just a Notion template."
Your price should reflect the outcome, not the format. A Notion CRM that helps a freelancer stay organized and never miss a follow-up is worth $50 easily. Price based on the problem you're solving.
Pricing framework:
- Is this solving a daily/weekly pain? Price higher.
- Is this used once? Price lower.
- Does this require real expertise to set up properly? Price higher.
- Is this something anyone could find on YouTube for free? Price lower.
Where to Sell Notion Products
MadeThis is an excellent platform for Notion products. Here's why:
- Digital file delivery — your Notion template is delivered as a link or PDF instruction file. MadeThis handles this natively.
- Clean checkout — buyers pay, get access, done. No setup friction.
- Bundles and packages — you can bundle multiple templates and sell them as a system.
- 0% transaction fees on paid plans — critical when you're selling at volume.
Some Notion creators sell on Gumroad, but the fee structure means MadeThis wins on economics. I break down the comparison in my MadeThis vs Gumroad post.
Getting Your First Notion Sale
Start by posting about the problem your template solves, not the template itself.
Instead of: "I made a Notion content planner, buy it here."
Try: "I used to spend 2 hours on Sundays planning my content week. This Notion system got it down to 20 minutes. I packaged it up if anyone wants it."
That second version sells the outcome and creates curiosity. The template is just the vehicle.
If you want to think about what else you could sell beyond Notion, here's a broader look at turning your expertise into a digital product.
