How I Use AI to Write, Sell, and Deliver Digital Products on Autopilot
Creating a digital product used to be a project. Now it's a Thursday afternoon.
I'm not exaggerating. The combination of AI writing tools and a platform that handles delivery automatically has compressed the full product creation + publishing cycle from weeks to days.

Here's exactly how I do it.
Phase 1: Product Creation With AI
The goal in this phase is to go from idea to finished product as fast as possible without sacrificing quality.
Step 1: Research and validate the idea
Before creating anything, I want to confirm people are searching for this topic. I use Ahrefs for keyword research and Reddit/Quora for validating that people have the problem.
ChatGPT prompt I use: "I'm creating a [product type] about [topic] for [audience]. What are the 10 most common pain points this audience has with this topic? What specific outcomes would they most want from a product like this?"
This 5-minute research step has saved me from creating products that nobody wants.
Step 2: Create the structure
ChatGPT prompt: "Create a detailed table of contents for a [X-page guide / template pack / mini-course] about [topic] for [audience]. The goal is to help them [specific outcome]. Make it tight and practical — no fluff."
I review and adjust the outline to make it match my perspective and experience.
Step 3: Draft the content
For a 20-30 page guide, I'll take each section and prompt: "Write this section in a clear, practical voice. Focus on actionable advice over theory. [paste section header + 2-3 bullet points of what I want covered]"
Then I edit heavily — adding my examples, cutting what feels generic, rewriting in my voice.
For templates, I build the actual template myself (usually in Notion, Airtable, or Google Sheets) and use AI to write the accompanying instructions.
Total time for a solid 25-page guide: 4-6 hours.
Phase 2: Writing the Sales Copy With AI
Most people underestimate how much good copy matters. A great product with weak copy doesn't sell. A decent product with great copy does.
My AI-assisted copywriting process:
Product title: Start with 10 options from ChatGPT, pick the most specific and outcome-focused one, refine it.
Description prompt: "Write a product description for [product name]. The buyer's main pain is [pain]. The outcome they want is [outcome]. Tone: honest, direct, not hype-y. Include: what they'll get, who it's for, key benefits. About 150 words."
FAQ section: "What are the 5 questions someone would ask before buying [product] at $[price]? Write honest, helpful answers to each."
I edit all of this to remove anything that sounds robotic or over-marketed. The goal is copy that reads like a real person who knows their stuff wrote it — because they did, with AI assistance.
Phase 3: Delivery on Autopilot
This is where the real magic happens.
Once the product is uploaded to MadeThis, delivery is completely automatic. Someone pays → they instantly get access to the download. No fulfillment on my end. No manual delivery. No "did my customer get their file?" anxiety.
I check the platform dashboard a few times a week, but honestly, there's almost nothing to do. The system just works.
The full details on how the platform handles this are in my review at /reviews/madethis — but the short version is: automated delivery is table stakes for any digital product platform in 2026, and MadeThis does it cleanly.
The Compounding Effect
Here's what this system looks like after 12 months:
- Products created: 15-20 (roughly one every 2-3 weeks)
- Each one: live, automated, generating passive revenue
- Content published: 150+ blog posts driving organic traffic to those products
- Time invested per week: ~10-12 hours total
Compare that to a freelance service business where you stop earning the moment you stop working. The digital product model, powered by AI and automatic delivery, is genuinely different.
If You're Starting Today
You don't need the full system on day one. Here's the order:
- Create one product (use the AI process above)
- Write a simple product description (use the copy prompts above)
- Publish it on MadeThis — check /madethis-pricing for the right plan
- Make your first few sales
- Build the content engine to drive organic traffic
The system compounds. Start simple and add layers as you go.
